2. Peace Baby

2. Peace Baby AWhat’s with everyone offering me the peace sign today?  Everywhere I go, I see boys and girls making the peace sign when I ask to photograph them.  From one 2. Peace Baby Btemple to another, from one side of town to the other, they answer my question by saying “yes” and then hold up their fingers.  The first girl who did it took a break from talking with a boy, and he didn’t seem pleased by my interruption.  She flashed a big smile and offered me “peace”.  She even said it.  I took her photograph and said it back.  Now, a little girl who was about to make a big splash in a mud puddle stopped what she was doing to peek between her fingers making a peace sign.  Oh, she has big attitude for a tiny girl.  But I love it!  She tries to look fierce.  I almost start to giggle at how confident she is posing in her orange bikini bottom with one hand on her hip and the other waving a peace sign at me.  Click.  I take her image and look at it on my camera.  In seconds, the girl had already forgotten about me and went back to playing in the water without a care in the world.  I wish more adults were like these kids today and offered peace to those around them.  What a nice world that would be, hey baby?
